Review | Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum

Product Information:  The Green tea serum is Innisfree’s best selling product. It’s a moisturizing serum that is made from green tea and green tea seeds. What made this product unique is that it hydrates the skin from within! That means it hydrates the skin in deeper layers than just the surface of the skin.

Typically, the toner is the first step after cleansing for the skincare routine. As for the Innisfree green tea line, this serum is meant to be used before the toner.

Texture: The consistency of this is more watery than other serums. I’ve noticed that the green tea extract products are more liquidy compared to others. This serum absorbs quickly but leaves a bit of a sticky residue. It goes away within a few minutes though.

Scent: It smells like green tea with a bit citrus scent. This scent is definitely stronger than the green tea balancing skin and lotion that I have reviewed. It’s probably from the green tea seeds. However, it does become less noticeable after a couple minutes.

Overall:

Innisfree green tea seed serum is gentle, refreshing, and moisturizing. I do have to point out that, just like other serums you do have to pair it with another product, such as a lotion and/or cream (depends on your skin type). The serum itself will not provide enough hydration, especially for dry skin. I have combination dry skin, so I like to use it together with the green tea balancing skin and lotion.

Pros:

  • Hygienic, because of the pump

  • Moisturizing

  • Refreshing

  • Lightweight

  • Good for most skin types

Cons:

  • Sticky texture

  • Scent can be strong for some people

  • No other benefits

Rating 4.8/5

I would recommend this product for those who are looking for a moisturizing serum. I think it is more suitable for oily or combination oily skin.
