Fresh Soy Face Cleanser & Rose Face Mask Review
Fresh is an innovative brand that I’ve admired for their used of natural ingredients. Their products are not exactly affordable but that's because they use the best natural ingredients in their products. For that reason, I believe it's worth spending a little more. I've admired their products are a while now, especially the Rose Face Mask. Finally, I got my hands on these minis and I was thrilled to try them out. I can't wait any longer so here is my review of two products, the Soy Face Cleanser and Rose Face Mask.
Soy Face Cleanser
"An extra-gentle gel cleanser for all skin types that instantly whisks away everyday impurities and makeup"
Product Information: Made to be suitable for all skin types the Soy Face Cleanser is a gentle gel cleanser. The cleanser has a multi-tasking formula that works to tone, soothe, and soften the skin to maintain a healthy looking complexion. Most importantly, it can remove impurities and even makeup without stripping the natural moisture from the skin.
The key ingredient: As you can tell from the name of the product, one of the key ingredients is amino acid-rich soy proteins. It is known for moisturizing and leaving the skin soft and supple. Overall, maintaining a healthy looking skin.
Packaging: The product is in a standard cleanser tube that is easy to use and travel with.
Texture: As expected of a gel cleanser it doesn't foam instead, it feels like the product is melting on your skin as you massage your face.
Scent: The cleanser has a slight herbal scent, in a way kind of smells like cucumbers. It is not my favorite scent but I can tolerate it.
How to use: Wet the skin, apply a small amount of the product, massage over the face and eyes, then rinse it off.
This is a truly gentle cleanser. On lazy nights I just cleanse my face with this, without going through my usual routine to remove my makeup and it has not broken me out. What I love about this cleanser is that it can remove my foundation and concealer, but it doesn't strip the skin of its natural moisture. I can't comment on its ability to remove mascara since I always wear waterproof mascara. However, it does a great job removing other makeup off such as foundation. A tiny amount goes a long way so you only a need a little bit of the product, make sure to massage the skin to melt the makeup away, and simply rinse it off. My skin always feels refreshed and soft after rinsing the product off. Overall, this is now one of my favorite cleansers. It can remove makeup without stripping the skin moisture so how can I not love it! I even purchased the mini size from Sephora.
Pros: - Natural ingredients - Suitable for all skin types - Removes makeup -Gentle enough not to strip the skin natural moisture
Cons: - Pricey - The scent (not the best smell in the world but it's alright)
Rose Face Mask
"A unique gel formula infused with real rose petals and pure rose water that hydrates and tones the complexion"
Product Information: The rose face mask is suitable for all skin types. The mask hydrates and tones the complexion for radiance looking skin. The formula is infused with real rose petals and rose water to provide the soothing and toning properties. Along with the cooling and calming effect of the cucumber extract and aloe vera gel.
The key ingredient: Roses water is the key ingredient for hydrating and soothing irritated skin. It has anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce redness and pimples.
Packaging: The mask comes in a simple jar. The mask is quite liquidy so I would use a small spatula to get the product out to avoid making a mess.
Texture: A unique gel-like consistency with little bits of rose petals. The mask feels like it's melting on your skin as you're applying it on.
Scent: This product has a very strong rose scent so beware if you have a sensitive nose. The scent will hit your nose once the jar is open.
How to use: Apply to cleansed skin, remember to avoid the eye area. Leave on for 5-10 minutes, then rinse with water.
This has become my favorite quick and convenient to use mask. I would apply it on for 5 minutes when my skin is irritated or just need hydration. Recently when my skin was itchy and irritated from the wind with all the pollen in the air, I quickly removed my makeup to apply the mask on, and I instantly felt better after the 5 minutes. This mask does a great to soothes and hydrates the skin. It has the cooling effect that has you feeling like you're doing a relaxing spa treatment. My only complaint would be the strong rose scent. I think it's toleratable but for those with a sensitive nose, it might be too overwhelming. Overall, an excellent mask that only takes 5 minutes of your time. It's soothing, hydrating, and refreshing on the skin. I can see this being a must have for the summer, especially after a day out in the sun.
Pros: - Natural ingredients -Only takes 5 minutes -Soothing -Hydrating
Cons: - Pricey - The strong scent
