Cosrx Centella Toner & Ampule Review

Review Cosrx Centella Toner Ampule Cosrx is my current favorite brand. Their products work amazingly on my dry and acne prone skin. I really want to try  their other products eventually, because I’m obsessed! As for today, I’m reviewing two products from their Centella line.

What is Centella?

Centella is also known as Gotu kola and pennywort. It has simple rounded leaves, looking like little fans. It is an ancient herb that has been used traditionally as medicine for centuries, especially for healing minor wounds.

I first saw Centella being used in beauty products from Cosrx. But, I’ve been noticing that many brands are using this wonderful herb now. Centella is great for acne prone and sensitive skin because it is known for healing. It has purification properties, as well as a calming effect on the skin. Basically, it’s an amazing ingredient for anyone with problematic skin.

Centella Water Alcohol- Free Toner:

Review Cosrx Centella Toner Ampule"Centella Water Alcohol-Free Toner that replenishes lost moisture to refresh skin and prepare it for treatment." - Cosrx

How to use| The correct application method according to Cosrx: 1. Use the toner after cleansing your face. 2. Wet the cotton pad with the toner and wide over the face.

Ingredients:  Mineral Water, Centella Asiatica Leaf Water, Butylene Glycol, 1, 2 Hexanediol, Betaine, Panthenol, Allantoin, Sodium Hyaluronate, and Ethyl Hexanediol.

This is a great gentle toner for the sensitive and acne-prone skin. I love that it is alcohol-free. There is no scent, so it's very much like water. It reduces redness and calms the skin. I also love that it's in a spray bottle because I'm lazy and just apply it on as a mist. Of course, you could use it with a pad too. The best thing about this toner is that it doesn't cause breakouts like most toners I've tried. If you're prone to acne or have sensitive skin I really recommend this toner, especially if you haven't found any that work for you yet. Otherwise, if you don't have any of those problems you wouldn't like it since it can be too gentle for you.

Where to buy: At Wishtrend for $16.

Pros:  - All skin types -Alcohol free -Fragrance free -Gentle -Reduces redness -Controls breakout

Cons:  - Can be too gentle -No other benefits; like tighten pores, etc.

Rating: 4/5

Overall, I really like this toner but it's not a holy grail. I still want to try other toners after I'm finished with this one.

Centella Blemish Ampule:

Review Cosrx Centella Toner Ampule Review Cosrx Centella Toner Ampule"This highly Centella ampule provides relief to skin troubles and contains Centella Asiatica Leaf Water, Centella Asiatica Extract and Chlorophyllin- Copper acne through faster absorption into the skin." - Cosrx

How to use: Apply one to two drops or more if needed, then gently massage into face.

Ingredients: Centella Asiatica Leaf Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Betaine, 1, 2 Hexanediol, Allantoin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Centella Asiatica Extract, Arginine, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Chlorophyllin-Copper Complex, Carbomer, Hydroxyethylcellulose.

The Centella Blemish Ampule packing is quite fancy looking with the glass bottle and dropper lid. Therefore it's easy to use and hygienic as well. The ampule has a faint green color with a thicker than water but still runny consistency. There is a barely noticeable scentIt is suitable for all skin types. Since this is meant to treat pimples, it is effective for controlling and healing breakouts. This product can reduce redness and inflammation. Another thing that I've noticed is that it does fade some light scars. Overall, I think this is a great product for acne prone skin.

The only downside is that it's a bit pricey for a small bottle (retailed for $24). It will last for a decent amount of time, depending on how often and how many drops you use when applying it. I would say around 3-5 months. I used up my first bottle within 3 months because I was using it every day for more than 2 drops per use. My second bottle is lasting longer since I don't have as many breakouts, therefore I'm not using it every day.

Where to buy:  At Jolse.com for $20 on sale ($24 regular price). They usually have some kind of sale going on.

Pros:  - All skin types -Reduces redness -Controls and heals breakouts -Fade light scars

Cons:  - The price
